02. 13.09.2016 The petitioner has filed this writ application on the ground t
hat though the Mahindra Bolero XL 2WD vehicle bearing Regd.No. OR-23D-9929 has been seized on
17.2.2016 and confiscation proceeding bearing C.P. No. 11 of 2015-2016 has been instituted but
the same has not yet been disposed of though the petitioner has already been entered appearan
ce.
Learned counsel for the petitioner prays for expeditious disposal of t
he confiscation proceeding. It is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that till d
ate no show cause has been filed by the petitioner.
Learned counsel for the State has no objection to the prayer made by t
he learned counsel for the petitioner.
Petitioner is directed to file his show cause, if any, positively by 2
3rd September, 2016 before the Authorized Officer (opp.party no.2). The opp.party no.2 shall m
ake every endeavour to dispose of the confiscation proceeding by end of November, 2016 and he
shall act on production of the certified copy of the order by the petitioner.
