The petitioner has prayed for a direction to the opposite parties to publish the resul
t of the examination held on 14.2.1993 and quash the advertisement for filling up the posts Ju
nior Clerk in Subernarekha Irrigation Project issued by the Collector, Mayurbhanj, vide Annexu
re-3.
On 19.9.1996, a Bench of this Court passed an interim order that any appointme
nt pursuant to the advertisement under Annexure-3 shall be subject to the result of the writ p
etition.
After lapse of twenty years, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the
order of appointment issued by the Collector, Mayurbhanj. Be it noted that at the time of fili
ng of writ petition, the petitioner was 31 years old. In the meantime, his age is 51 years. He
cannot be appointed in any Government post since he is overage.
Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed.
