08. 28.10.2016 This is an application filed by the claimants for a di
rection to the appellant-Insurance Company to deposit the modified compensation amount and int
erest, as had been directed by order dated 08.4.2016.
Considering the submissions made, the appellant-Insurance Company is d
irected to deposit the modified compensation amount of Rs.30,00,000/- (Rupees thirty lakhs) al
ong with awarded interest with the learned Tribunal within two weeks hence, failing which, the
amount shall carry interest @9% per annum, from the date of filing of the claim application,
till payment.
It is made clear that in case of default in deposit of the aforesaid a
mount, interest payable by the Insurance Company for default period shall be recoverable from
the erring officer.
Misc. Case is accordingly disposed of.
Issue urgent certified copy as per rules.
