21.06.2016 Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned counsel for the State.
The petitioners are accused in C.T. Case No.18 of 2015 on the file of learned District
and Sessions Judge, Bargarh register under Section 20(b)(ii)(C) of the NDPS Act.
It is submitted on behalf of the petitioners that they were mere passengers of the
vehicle wherefrom the alleged 102 Kgs. of contraband Ganja was seized. But considering the mat
erials as placed before the Court, since the alleged recovery of commercial quantity of Ganja
was made from the possession of the petitioners, I do not find any persuading reason to grant
the benefit of bail. Accordingly, the bail application stands rejected.
However, since it is submitted that the charge-sheet has already submitted in the case
, learned trial court would do well to dispose of the case as expeditiously as.
