Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Government Adv
ocate for the State-opposite party.
By order dated 6.11.2015, the writ petition is disposed of granting liberty to
the petitioner to file an appropriate application under Section 15(b) of the Orissa Survey an
d Settlement Act (hereinafter referred to as Act) for correction of record of right before the
Commissioner, Land Records and Settlement, Orissa.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that pursuant to the notification o
f Government of Orissa, the power has been vested to the Member, Board of Revenue, Odisha, Cut
tack to decide the revision filed under Section 15(b) of the Act.
In view of the same, the expressions Commissioner, Land Records and Settlement
, Orissa mentioned in the order dated 6.11.2015 be read as Member, Board of Revenue, Odisha, C
uttack. Time to file application before the Member, Board of Revenue, Odisha, Cuttack is exten
ded for a period of fifteen days from today. The rest part of the said order remains unaltered
