“A few years ago, a budget of crores of rupees was passed by the Champa Municipal Body for the purpose of regional development and for keeping the natural environment of the Hasdeo River clean and pure, with the aim that the dirty water coming out of the houses of Champa city has been entering the river through many drains for centuries, which should be stopped from mixing with the natural water source of the river, Therefore, the Hasdeo river, which is called the lifeline not only for Aajgir Champa district but also for many other districts, has been cut in its bed and a sewerage pipeline (cement drain) has been constructed. Its construction has not even been completed for a few months AAd wherever the mouths of all the drains coming out of various wards of the city have been connected to the sewerage (main pipeline), the mouths of many of the drains have become completely clogged due to lack of proper maintenance and cleaning, and the dirty water going into the sewerage pipeline (drain) can be clearly seen in to be flowing in to the river. A vivid example of which can be seen anytime near the Anicut built on the Hasdeo River and right behind the Shani temple situated on the river bank, which is just an example, the result of which is that the Champa Municipality a few years ago were sanctioned crores of rupees for fulfilling the purpose of taking the contaminated water to the water treatment plant through the sewerage pipeline and purify it but as a result of the gross negligence of the responsible officials of the Champa Municipality, a big negligence has been done in cleaning the mouths of the sewerage and drains built in the river,, and due to the blockage of the drains, the polluted water and waste material coming from all over the city is getting mixed in the natural water source of the river openly, if the officials of the Municipality had cleaned the mouths of the drains meeting the sewerage of the river with proper care from time to time, then the purpose for which the (drain) pipeline was constructed would have been fulfilled heavy damage to the environment including natural water source of Hasdeo river could have been saved from damage, but due to their extremely responsible act and actions, the possibility of heavy damage to the natural water sources of the river and the health of the general public including the environment cannot be ruled out it is worth noting that drinking water is being provided to the houses through many water filter plants from the river, and hundreds of people reach the banks of this river every day for daily work including bathing and other works, who are directly suffering heavy losses. Not only this, but thousands of tons of debris and stones have been dug out by illegally digging the river bank
