Learned ASG submits in terms of the previous order to enquire the

issue flagged therein an Enquiry Officer has been appointed by the Chief

Secretary who is examining the issue. In this background, he has sought two weeks to submit the fresh status report.

Learned counsel for the MoEF&CC also submits that in terms of the

previous order the report will be filed within 10 days.

IA Nos. 285/2024, 286/2024 289/2024 & 365/2024

I.A. No. 285/2024 has been filed by the three Applicants seeking permission to intervene in this OA. These Applicants have been heard since the time of filing of I.A. They have also placed on record certain material in support of their plea. Learned counsel for the Applicant submits that he will not be filing any other pleading in the matter. In view of such a statement, the prayers have not been opposed. IA No. 285/2024 is allowed.

IA No. 286/2024 has been filed by the same Applicants seeking several directions. Except for the prayer B concerning the declaration of the forest land stretch along the upper Ganga Canal from Purkaji to Ghaziabad as eco-sensitive zone, all other prayers, in substance, have been considered/are under consideration before the Tribunal. Hence, no separate order in this IA is required. So far as, prayer B is concerned, it is an independent relief for which the Applicant will have an opportunity to take up appropriate fresh proceedings. With these observations, IA 286/2024 is disposed of.

IA No. 289/2024 and 365/2024 have been filed by some other Applicants seeking intervention in this OA. But no one is present to press these IAs. Therefore, IA 289/2024 and 365/2024 are dismissed as not pressed.
