This original application has been registered on the basis of the letter petition dated 20.09.2023 sent by one Attar Singh, resident of village Nathupur, district Sonipat with the allegation against A.R.B. Bearing company located in the industrial area.

The allegation of the applicant is that the said project proponent is discharging chemical waste water in the agricultural land damaging lemon and citrus plants at 9/27 Kila at village Nathupur, Tehsil Sai, District, Sonipat. Further allegation is that the said project proponent is manufacturing Aluminium Ingots by melting it and is emitting black poisonous smoke damaging the environment and creating health hazard. The applicant has not enclosed any material along with the letter petition to substantiate the allegations made therein. Therefore, the allegation made in the letter petition needs to be verified and factual position is required to be ascertained.

Hence, we dispose of the OA directing the Member Secretary, Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB) to duly consider the grievance of the applicant, ascertain the correct position in respect of violation of environmental norms by the project proponent and if the allegation is found to be correct, take appropriate remedial and punitive action in accordance with law without any delay. Let this exercise be completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Let a copy of this order along with a copy of the letter petition be forwarded to the Member Secretary, HSPCB.
