This Writ Petition is filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the Bhoodan Yagna Board to issue a suitable reply to the Sub Registrar and consequently directing the Sub Registrar to register the document presented by the petitioner.

The case of the petitioner is that when the petitioner presented a Partition Deed in respect of S.No.117/1A of Koodalvaavi Village and other properties for registration, the same was kept pending on the ground that a doubt had arisen as to whether the Bhoodan Yagna Board has any interest in the said property.

As a matter of fact, the petitioner has already obtained information under the Right to Information Act, 2005 on 27.06.2025,

wherein the Public Information Officer has informed that S.No.117/1A of

Koodalvaavi Village is not found in their register and that the Board does not have any interest in the said property. In spite of the same, the second respondent/Sub Registrar has sought information from the first respondent Board and till date, no information has been furnished and the document continues to be kept pending.

In view of the fact that the third respondent represents the Board,

this Court suo motu impleaded the said authority vide a separate order passed today. The information sought by the second respondent shall be furnished on behalf of the Bhoodan Yagna Board within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Upon receipt of such information, the Sub Registrar shall pass appropriate orders, either registering the document or returning the same, as the case may be, within a period of two weeks thereafter.
