The present writ petition has been filed seeking a Mandamus as against
the respondents to correct the petitioner's name as “C.Arumugam” instead of “P.Priya” in her daughter's Birth Certificate that was issued on 28.11.2011.

2. It is the case of the writ petitioner that her name is “C.Arumugam” however, it has been wrongly referred to as “P.Priya” in the Birth Certificate issued to her daughter namely, P.Hansika. Hence, she has made a representation to the first respondent on 19.11.2025 to amend the said name and issue fresh Birth Certificate.
3. Considering the above said facts, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 19.11.2025 and pass orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. With the above said observation, this Writ Petition stands disposed
of . There shall be no order as to costs.
