The present writ petition has been filed by a senior citizen seeking a mandamus directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's application under Section 23 of Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 which was filed by her on 29.12.2025.

Considering the fact that the application is pending for more than one month, the second respondent is directed to consider the said application and pass orders after giving opportunity to all the interested parties, within a period of 8(eight) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
