This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondents to consider the petitioners representation dated 18.07.2026 and release the bill amount of Rs.92.25 Lakhs payable to the petitioner for the works executed under Package Nos.4, 7 and 18 of the SFC-URDF 2025-2026 Scheme, within a time frame.

disposal at the admission stage itself. Since no adverse order is going to be passed, notice to the second respondent is dispensed with.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner had executed the works entrusted under Package Nos. 4, 7 and 18 of the SFC-URDF 2025–2026 Scheme to the satisfaction of the respondents and that a sum of Rs.92.25 lakhs is payable to the petitioner towards the bill amount for the works so executed. It is submitted that, despite completion of the works, the respondents have failed to release the said amount. In this regard, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 18.07.2026 to the second respondent, requesting release of the pending bill amount. It is further submitted that, despite receipt of the said representation, the second respondent has not passed any orders thereon nor released the amount due to the petitioner. Aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the second respondent, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition.

The learned counsel further submitted that it would suffice if this Court issues a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.07.2026 and pass appropriate orders thereon within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

Considering the above facts and circumstances of the case and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 18.07.2026 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law. Such exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
