This Writ Petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a Writ of

Mandamus directing the respondents to provide electricity connection to the petitioner's house bearing Plot No. 20, J.J.Colony, comprised in 178/5A Part, 6A, 6B1, 6C2, 7A, 7B, 179/2A1, 2B1 and 2B2 and 4 in Mutharasanallur (Murungapettai) Village, Srirangam Taluk, Trichy District.

By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner made a representation dated 16.04.2026 to the respondents seeking electricity service connection to the petition-mentioned property . However, since no action has been taken on the said representation till date, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

The learned counsel further submitted that it would suffice if this

Court issues a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.04.2026 and pass appropriate orders thereon within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

Considering the above facts and circumstances of the case and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents, to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 16.04.2026 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law.
