4 .The petitioner claims to be the absolute owner of the property comprised in Survey No.317/3, measuring an extent of 0.10.23 hectares, situated at Kayathar Village, Kayathar Taluk, Thoothukudi District. Since the building constructed on the said property is in a dilapidated condition and is likely to collapse, the petitioner submitted a detailed representation dated 30.06.2026 to the respondents seeking permission to demolish the said building. However, as no action has been taken on the said representation till date, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

The learned counsel further submitted that it would suffice if this Court issues a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioners' representation dated 30.06.2026 and pass appropriate orders thereon within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
