This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of

Mandamus, directing the 2^nd and 3^rd respondents, namely the District Educational Officer and the Block Educational Officer herein to approve forthwith the petitioner's appointment as Secondary Grade Teacher w.e.f. the date of petitioner's appointment viz., 18.07.2017 in the 4^th respondent school with all attendant benefits including the arrears of salary and allowance.

The petitioner herein claims that she was appointed as a Secondary Grade Teacher in the 4^th respondent School on 18.07.2017. Thereafter, a proposal was submitted by the 4th respondent on 27.07.2017, and the same was resubmitted on 11.11.2017. As there was no response, the 4th respondent School filed W.P.(MD)No.9947 of 2018 seeking approval of the petitioner's appointment as a Secondary Grade Teacher with effect from 18.07.2017. The said Writ Petition, along with a batch of connected writ appeals and writ petitions in W.A.(MD)No.76 of 2019 etc., batch, came to be disposed of by the Division Bench of this Court vide order dated 31.03.2021.

While matters stood thus, the 4^th respondent School is stated to have resubmitted a proposal on 24.03.2024 to the respondents requesting them to approve the appointment of the petitioner as a Secondary Grade Teacher in the 4^th respondent School. The petitioner further claims that, in terms of G.O.Ms.No.300 dated 24.12.2025, teachers who were appointed before 13.01.2023 and had not qualified in the TET are eligible to obtain approval of their appointments under the said Government Order. It is the further case of the petitioner that, based on the said Government Order, the 4^th respondent once again submitted a representation dated 23.02.2026 to respondents 2 and 3 requesting them

to grant approval to the petitioner's appointment. As no action was taken by the respondents, the petitioner has approached this Court.

Mr.C.Jeganathan, learned Counsel for the Government of Tamil Nadu, on instructions, submits that the proposals submitted by the 4th respondent School would be considered along with the representation dated 23.02.2026, and appropriate orders would be passed expeditiously.

In the light of the above, without going into the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing respondents 2 and 3 to consider the proposal dated 24.03.2024 submitted by the 4^th respondent School, together with the representation dated 23.02.2026, and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition stands closed.
