Prayer : This writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 4th respondent herein to take immediate action for removing the illegal encroachments made in Survey No.247/2 situated at Veerapatti Village, Mathipanoor Bit I Thirumangalam Taluk, Madurai District on the basis of petitioner’s representation dated 22.07.2020 within the time stipulated by this Court.

The petitioner wants the encroachment in survey No.247/2 to be

removed. It is the third round of litigation.

We are satisfied that survey No.247/2 is neither a road nor a water body. It appears to be a natham poramboke. Even if an encroachment has been committed in such a land, it is not a matter fit enough for invoking writ jurisdiction. Liberty is given to the petitioner to avail any other remedy available under law. This writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
