PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records on the file of the respondent pertinent of the impugned tender notice bearing Na.Ka.No.1000/2025/A2, dated 18.12.2025 and to quash the same and consequently direct the respondent to extend the lease period for another 3 years by accepting 20% amount over and above the existing lease amount.

The present writ petition has been filed seeking to quash the tender Notification issued by the respondent Municipality for licensing of collection of charges from the toilet and bathroom.

2. According to the petitioner, he is running the said license from the year 2007 onwards and he seeks extension of his lease for further period on payment of additional license fee of 20%.

3. A perusal of the records reveal that the petitioner had earlier sought to quash a paper publication issued by the respondent Municipality for similar auction. The said writ petition was dismissed granting liberty to the petitioner to continue as a licensee till the auction is finalized.

4. Till the tender is finalized, the petitioner can continue. However, the

petitioner cannot seek to stall the auction process. Therefore, the present writ petition is not maintainable.

5. With the above said observation, this Writ Petition stands disposed of . There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
