This writ petition has been filed praying for a direction to the respondent Nos.1 to 2 to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 31.10.2025 by directing the 2nd respondent to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and the concerned revenue and survey officials, namely the 1st respondent, for the purpose of conducting survey, measurement and demarcation of the petitioner's land comprised in Survey Nos.260/4A, 260/7, 260/8 and 260/9A, situated at U.Agaram Village, Virudhachalam Taluk, Cuddalore District, in accordance with law, and consequently to direct the respondent Nos.1 to 2 to permit the petitioner to put up fencing around the said property.

Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.

submit that the petitioner is the absolute owner of the property in Survey Nos.260/4A, 260/7, 260/8 and 260/9A, situated at U.Agaram Village, Virudhachalam Taluk, Cuddalore District However, when a surveyor came to survey the said property, the same was obstructed by respondents 3 to 5. Therefore, the petitioner submitted representations before respondents 1 & 2 to give police protection while surveying the property. However, so far no action has been taken. Hence, this writ petition has been filed.

In view of the above, the first respondent is directed to

survey the petitioner's aforesaid land based on the title deed produced by the petitioner, after issuance of notice to the adjacent land owners and counter parties, if any, and to serve survey report to the petitioner within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. It is made clear that, if the surveyor concerned is obstructed by third parties while surveying the said property, the said surveyor can approach the jurisdictional police seeking police aid and on such request, the jurisdictional police shall provide adequate police protection to the surveyor.
