The above Writ Petition has been filed for the following reliefs:-

"directing the 1st respondent to issue Legal Heir certificate of the

deceased Muthaiya based on the application dated 19.12.2025 made by the 1st petitioner in application No.TN-720251219697.”

The main grievance of the petitioners is that, despite submitting an

application on 19.12.2025 to the 1st respondent, along with the requisite fees,

seeking issuance of a Legal Heir Certificate, to date the Legal Heir Certificate

has not been issued by the 1st respondent. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the 1^st respondent.

Considering the limited request of the petitioners and taking note of the fact that the petitioners’ application dated 19.12.2025 has not been processed by the 1st respondent to date despite payment of the requisite fees, the Writ Petition is allowed. The 1st respondent is directed to consider and pass orders on the 1^st petitioner’s application dated 19.12.2025, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
