The present writ petition has been filed seeking a writ of mandamus forbearing respondents 1 to 4 from closing or shifting TASMAC Shop No.466 situated in Survey No.439/2, New Door No.1/118 (Old Door No.95), Poonamallee High Road, Nerkundram, Chennai – 600 107, and consequently directing respondents 2 to 4 to implement the proceedings dated 22.12.2025 passed by the first respondent in L3/1611/2025 by providing police protection through the fifth respondent.

The grievance of the petitioner is that the respondents are attempting to

relocate the TASMAC shop from the petitioner’s premises without following the due process of law.

Learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondents 2 to 4 has

produced a communication dated 16.02.2026 issued by the fourth respondent, wherein it is stated that there is no objection to the continued functioning of TASMAC Shop No.466 in the petitioner’s premises. In view of the said communication, the apprehension expressed by the petitioner does not survive.

Recording the statement contained in the communication dated

16.02.2026 issued by the fourth respondent, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction that the respondents shall not relocate or remove TASMAC Shop No.466 from the petitioner’s premises except by following the due process of law.

Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. There

shall be no order as to costs.
