Mr. C. Prabhakaran, learned Government Counsel, accepts notice for respondents 1 and 2. Mr. V. Chandraprabhu, learned counsel, accepts notice for the third respondent. Since this writ petition is being disposed of without affecting the rights of the fourth respondent, issuance of notice to the fourth respondent is dispensed with.

The petitioner claims to be the absolute owner and is in possession and enjoyment of 14 cents of land comprised in Survey No.92/7A1A2, situated at Nallur Village, Veppur Taluk, Cuddalore District. According to the petitioner, he has earmarked 4 cents of the said land as a pathway to provide access to his property. It is alleged that the fourth respondent, without obtaining the requisite permission, has constructed a marriage hall, namely, Shanthi Marriage Hall , and is discharging sewage and waste water into the

said pathway, thereby causing nuisance and obstructing the petitioner’s peaceful enjoyment of the property. The grievance of the petitioner is that the representation submitted by him seeking appropriate action against the fourth respondent has not been considered by the authorities.

Learned counsel appearing for the third respondent submitted that the petitioner’s representation would be considered on its own merits and appropriate orders would be passed in accordance with law within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.

Recording the said submission, this writ petition is disposed of directing the third respondent to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 19.06.2026 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as the fourth respondent. The aforesaid exercise shall be completed within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
