This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 14.03.2026 and 25.06.2026 to grant lease to the petitioner with respect of the Government poramboke land measuring 1600 sq.ft comprised in Survey No.35 of Perungudi Village, Sholinganallur Taluk, Chennai District, situate at No.18 E, Thiruvalluvar Nagar, M.G.R. Salai, Perungudi, Chennai-600 096 within the time frame fixed by this Court.

Learned counsel for petitioner would submit that the petitioner sent representations dated 14.03.2026 and 25.06.2026 to the respondents seeking lease of aforesaid land for running women’s hostel. Since no action forthcoming from the respondents, the petitioner is before this Court.

At the outset, the learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that petitioner's representations dated 14.03.2026 and 25.06.2026 would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed after issuing notice to petitioner and any other interested parties, within a time period to be stipulated by this Court. Agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner.

In view of the same, taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to the respondents to consider the representations dated 14.03.2026 and 25.06.2026 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to petitioner and any other interested persons within a period of ten weeks from the date of uploading of web copy without waiting for receipt of certified copy of the order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the representations and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the representations on its own merits and in accordance with law.

5. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
