This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 2 & 4 to consider the application of the petitioner dated 05.06.2026 and 10.06.2026 for the post of Government Advocate before the Fast Track and Sessions Mahila Court, Dharmapuri and for the Law Officer post as per Notification No.1 dated 10.06.2026 on merits.

The petitioner is a law graduate with 23 years of practice before the District Court, Dharmapuri. She submitted an application for the post of Government Advocate. Although she possesses necessary qualification for the said post, her application was not considered by the respondents. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

The learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the present Writ Petition has been filed merely on the apprehension that the petitioner’s application would not be considered. He further submitted that the selection process is yet to be completed. Therefore, this Writ Petition is premature. In any event, he submitted that the petitioner’s application would be considered in accordance with law.
