This Writ Petition has been filed seeking direction to third respondent to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 10.06.2026 and consequently give electricity connection for the petitioner’s shop in Survey No. 1/1, ½, near Yercaud Forest Guest House, Opposite to Yercaud Panchayat Union Office.

The petitioner was running a petty shop nearby Forest Guest House, after getting necessary approval. However, the respondents stalled the functioning of shop temporarily. Aggrieved by the same, petitioner filed a Writ Petition in W.P.No.16200 of 2025 and obtained an interim order. Despite the same, the first respondent issued impugned notice and disconnected the electricity connection of the petitioner’s shop. The same was challenged in W.P.No.30210 of 2025 and interim order of stay was granted. However, third respondent refused to give electricity connection. Aggrieved over the same, petitioner has given a representation on 10.06.2026 to the respondents 2 & 3. Since no order has been passed on the said representation, petitioner is before this Court.

At the outset, it was submitted by learned Government Advocate for

the respondents 1 & 2 that the representation dated 10.06.2026 submitted by the petitioner would be considered by the third respondent and appropriate orders

would be passed within a time frame fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner.

In view of the same, taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to the third respondent to consider the representation dated 10.06.2026 of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested persons, within a period of three weeks from the date of uploading of web copy without waiting for receipt of certified copy of the order .

5. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
