This writ petition is filed for the following relief:

“To direct the first respondent to issue appointment order to

the petitioner to the post of Sanitary Assistant with effect form 01.10.2007 onwards and to release salary to the petitioner for the post of Sanitary Assistant /Sanitary helper with effect form 01.10.2007 onwards with interest.”

The petitioner was appointed as a Sanitary Helper in the 2^nd respondent school on 04.04.1994, on a consolidated pay basis. Thereafter, the petitioner was appointed as a Sanitary Assistant with effect from 01.10.2007 vide order dated 30.09.2007. The petitioner’s case is that the proposal sent by the 2^nd respondent for appointing the petitioner as Sanitary Helper / Sanitary Assistant under the Grant-in-aid scheme was not considered by the 1^st respondent. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court for the aforesaid relief.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the fact that

the 2^nd respondent has been addressing the 1^st respondent since the petitioner’s appointment, a direction is issued to the 1^st respondent to consider the proposal

sent by the 2^nd respondent and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law,

within a period of 6 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
