ORDER

This writ petition is filed to call for the records relating to the proceedings

of the 2nd respondent dated 09.12.2025 made in

F.No.512-514/A/12/16/teaching faculty/Teett./ 2021-Vol-V, quash the same and directed the 2nd respondent to engage the petitioner as Assistant Professor Dentistry in the 2nd respondent college.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is fully qualified for the post of Assistant professor Dentistry and applied for Walk-in-interview held on 05.12.2025 before the second respondent. Since the petitioner's communal category is ST and the candidates were more than the ratio of 1:10 per post, a screening test was conducted, wherein 48 persons were participated and out of which, 12 candidates were selected by the second respondent on 05.12.2025 and the same was also displayed in the notice board for walk-in-interview. The petitioner is also one of the candidates short listed for interview bearing serial number 45 and the said interview was held on 06.12.2025. Thereafter, the result was published and it was surprised to note that, the third respondent, whose name was not at all mentioned in the screening test result published on 05.12.2025, was selected for engagement of teaching faculty on contract basis. Challenging the same, the present writ petition is filed.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would further submit that despite

being placed in wait list under the ST category, the petitioner was not selected for the post of Assistant Professor Dentistry, whereas the third respondent, who

was not participated in the screening test was selected, which is not sustainable. Accordingly, he prays for appropriate orders.

Learned counsel appearing for the third respondent would submit that the third respondent as well as the petitioner have participated in the Walk-ininterview under ST category on 06.12.2025. In the said interview, the third respondent has scored 220 marks, whereas the petitioner has scored only 166 marks, thereby the petitioner was not selected. Hence, the prayer sought by the petitioner cannot be granted. Accordingly, he prays for dismissal of this writ petition.

Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

The facts in the present case are not in dispute. On earlier occasion, this Court orally directed the respondents to produce a mark sheet of the candidates, who have participated in the walk-in-interview. Accordingly, the combined assessment sheet was furnished before this Court and on perusal of the same, it is clear and evident that the third respondent has scored 220 marks

and in respect of petitioner, he has scored only 166 marks. Therefore, the third respondent has selected for the post of Assistant Professor Dentistry under the category of ST. Hence, the impugned order dated 09.12.2025, passed by the second respondent does not want any interference by this Court and the same is hereby confirmed.

In the result, this writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
