These Writ Petitions are filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to disburse the earned leave calculated at the rate of 32 days per year from 01.01.1990 till the date of petitioner’s retirement together with interest @ of 18 percent P.A. for the delayed period from the date of their retirement, till the date of payment at the earliest.

With the consent of the learned counsel appearing on either side, these writ petitions are taken up for disposal at the admission stage.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners are employed in the respondents Diary Development and they were retired from service in the year 2022, 2018 & 2019. Thereafter, the petitioners made a representation for payment of earned leave encashment by way of representations. Since the representations were not considered, these present writ petitions are filed.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that

this Court may issue a direction to the respondents to settle the earned leave

encashment amount, if not settled, within a specified time.

The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that the respondents will consider the petitioners’ request and pass appropriate orders within a specified time.

In view of the above, there will be a direction to the respondents to settle the earned leave encashment amount payable to the petitioners, if not settled already, with 6% interest within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the above terms, these Writ Petitions are disposed of. No
