Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has made a representation before the second respondent, seeking issuance of patta for the subject property. However, the same was not considered. Thus, the petitioner has made another representation dated 23.02.2026 before the first respondent for similar relief, along with supporting documents and application. However, till date, the said representation was not considered by the first respondent.

Mr.M.Senthamizh Selvan, learned Government’s Advocate takes notice on behalf of the respondents and submitted that the petitioner’s representation dated 23.02.2026 will be considered within a period of eight weeks.

Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

As the petitioner is a landless poor person, she is entitled to a patta based on her possession of the subject property. Therefore, this Court directs the first respondent to issue patta to the petitioner, after conducting necessary survey on the subject property, within eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
