This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the 2 nd respondent to implement the G.O.No.531 dated 08.08.2025 and consequently based on that circular, to direct the 4 th respondent to issue patta in the name of the petitioner for the property morefully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition.

2. Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent 1 to 4.

3. According to the petitioner, he is entitled to issuance of patta in his name for the property morefully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition based on G.O.No.531, dated 08.08.2025. The petitioner had given a representation to the respondents seeking issuance of patta in his name based on G.O.No.531, dated 08.08.2025. Since the said representation has not been considered, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

The petitioner relies upon G.O.No.531, dated 08.08.2025, which has been filed as document along with this writ petition in support of the petitioner’s case for grant of patta in his name for the property morefully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition. The petitioner seeks implementation of G.O.No.531, dated 08.08.2025 in his favour.

Since the competent authority to dispose of the petitioner’s request for grant of patta in the Special Tahsildar, Natham Land Tax Scheme, Ambattur Taluk, Chennai District, this Court by exercising its suo-motu powers, impleads The Special Tahsildar, Natham Land Tax Scheme, Ambattur Taluk, Chennai District as 5 th respondent in this writ petition. Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader, accepts notice on behalf of the 5 th respondent as well. Registry is directed to carryout the necessary amendment accordingly.

6. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner’s request for grant of patta in his name for the property morefully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition is considered on merits and in accordance with law, in the light of G.O.No.531, dated 08.08.2025, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

7. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner’s request for grant of patta in his name for the property morefully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition in the light of G.O.No.531, dated 08.08.2025.

For the foregoing reasons, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the 5 th respondent to pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law, on the petitioner’s representation seeking grant of patta in his name for the property morefully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition, in the light of G.O.No.531, dated 08.08.2025, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
