When the matter is taken up for hearing, attention of this Court was drawn to

the counter affidavit filed by the 2^nd respondent, wherein it has been stated that the application submitted by the Indian Oil Corporation Limited for setting up a Petroleum Retail Outlet in S.F.No.514/B of Neelambur Village of Sulur Taluk, Coimbatore District was rejected by the 2^nd respondent, vide proceedings dated 05.07.2024 on the ground that another fuel station is located within the prohibited distance. Hence, the prayer in the writ petition has become infructuous.
