ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to provide electricity connection to the petitioner’s premises / residence i.e., Door No.3/45, Adagapadi village, Adagapadi Post, Near Chinna Thadangam Bus Stop, Dharmapuri Taluk, Dharmapuri Distrct based on the petitioner’s representation dated 26.02.2026.

Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side. With the consent

of both sides, the Writ Petition is taken up for hearing at the admission stage itself.

It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner’s husband was missing from the year 2020 and by virtue of partition, the petitioner acquired the subject property from her father-in-law, measuring to an extent of 1000 sq. mts which was also confirmed by the decree passed by the Principal Sub Court, Dharmapuri in O.S.No.333 of 2021. Thereafter, she constructed the house and living with her children in the said premises without any disturbance, but however the electricity service connection of the subject property stood in the name of her father-in-law. While so, due to the claim of the siblings of her

husband, the electricity service connection was disconnected, for which the petitioner made a representation dated 26.02.2026 to the respondents, however there was inaction on the part of the petitioner and hence, the present Writ Petition.

In view of the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 26.02.2026 and to pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall

be no order as to costs.
