ORDER

This Miscellaneous Petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to

pay the petitioner his last drawn full wages of Rs.13,636/- p.m., including any allowances, as per Section 17 B of the Industrial Disputes Act.

Heard Mr.J.Jayan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.Aswin, learned counsel for the first respondent.

The learned counsel appearing for the second respondent would submit that the second respondent was dismissed from service on 28/4/2022. The second respondent had filed Claim Petition in C.P.No.83 of 2023 on the file of the Labour Court, Cuddalore, seeking backwages for the period from April 2022 to July 2024 totalling to a sum of Rs.11,51,111/-. In order to evade

payment of backwages, the Transport Corporation had filed W.P.No.17739 of 2025.

The learned counsel appearing for the Management would submit that 50% of the arrears would be paid to the second respondent within a period of four weeks from today.

Recording the said submission of the learned counsel appearing for the

Management, the petitioner/Management is directed to pay 50% of the arrear amount of Rs.11,51,111/- , which comes to Rs.5,75,555/- (Rupees Five lakhs Seventy five thousand five hundred and fifty five only) to the second respondent on or before 26/8/2026.
