PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 528 of BNSS Act, to direct the Respondents 1 and 2 to provide adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner by considering the petitioners representation dated 25.06.2026 and consequently take appropriate action against the private respondents.

The present petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a

direction as against the respondent police to provide police protection to the to the life and limb of the petitioner.

2.Perusal of the records revealed that the petitioner has initiated proceedings as against her husband and her husband's alleged second wife under the Domestic Violence Act and the same is pending.

According to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the husband's family is threatening her to withdraw the said complaint. Despite several complaints to the respondent police, they are not providing adequate police protection and hence the present petition.

It could be seen from the records that the petitioner is trying to protect her possession in the matrimonial home, which is the subject matter of the Domestic Violence Case proceedings.

5.In view of the above facts, there shall be a direction to the

respondent police to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner, in case if any specific instances of threat to the life is made out. With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
