2025, on the file of the Principal District Court, Pudukkottai, seeking to quash the charge sheet wherein the petitioners are charged with the offences under Sections 147, 148, 341, 294(b), 323, 324, 506(2), 379, 307 and 149 of

IPC, r/w.Section 3 of Tamil Nadu Public Property (Prevention of Damage & Loss) Act, 1992 and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Woman Act, 2002.

A perusal of the charge sheet reveals that the petitioners are said to have attacked the defacto complainant and caused injuries to him. The statement of the Doctor under Section 161 of Cr.P.C, reveals that the injuries are simple in nature and in such circumstances Section 307 of IPC does not get attracted but only Section 326 of IPC gets attracted.
