Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was

arrested in Cr.No.173 of 2026 on 03.06.2026 for the offence under Sections 8(c) r/w 20(b)(ii)(B) and 29(1) of the NDPS Act. He further submitted that the quantity involved in this case is an intermediate quantity and that the learned Principal Special Judge had granted bail to the petitioner on 29.06.2026 and imposed a condition “that the petitioner shall execute a bond for Rs.10,000/with two sureties for a like sum each to the satisfaction of the learned II Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore. One among the sureties should be a blood surety. He further submitted that the petitioner hails from Tirupur and that he does not have any blood relatives in Tamil Nadu who can stand as blood surety. He further submitted that, despite the order passed in Crl.MP.No.3255 of 2026 on the file of the learned Principal Special Court under EC & NDPS Act, Chennai dated 29.06.2026, the petitioner is languishing in jail and thereby the present petition has been filed seeking for modification of the condition.

In view of the above submission, the condition imposed on the petitioner in Crl.M.P.3255 of 2026 dated 29.06.2026 is modified to the effect that the “ petitioner shall execute a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- with two sureties for a like sum each to the satisfaction of the learned II
