The petitioner apprehends arrest for the alleged offences under Sections 8(c) and 20(b)(ii)(A) of NDPS Act, 1985 in Crime No.224 of 2026 on the file of the respondent police seeks anticipatory bail.

The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with the other

accused was found in illegal possession of 20g of Ganja. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the

petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that the petitioner is ready to abide by any stringent conditions that

may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prays for grant of bail to the Petitioners.

The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the Respondent Police reiterated the prosecution case and opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. I have given my anxious consideration to either side submissions and perused the materials available on record.

6. From the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), it is seen that the offences charged against the petitioner are under the NDPS Act. Hence, this Court is of the firm view that enlarging the petitioner on anticipatory bail would shock the conscience of society. Hence, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

7.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
