Madurai Bench of Madras High Court (Abdul Quddhose, J.), W.P.(MD)No.9418 of 2018 with connected W.M.P.(MD)Nos.8721 to 8723 of 2018, decided 25.11.2025. Thirty-one petitioners, by a writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, sought a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records of and quashing the fourth respondent's (Tamil Nadu Rural Transformation Project) notification in file No. 008/TNRTP/2018 and file No.008-A/TNRTP/2018 dated 14.02.2018, and for continued appointment as Assistant Project Manager or equivalent posts, including posts in TNSRLM, NULM and DDU-GKY. When the matter came up, learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the prayer sought for in the writ petition had become infructuous and made an endorsement to that effect in the court bundle.
