The present writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus as against

the first respondent for reissuance of the passport based upon his application dated 22.09.2025 and the explanation submitted by the petitioner on 14.11.2025.

The learned Government Advocate(crl.side) appearing for the second respondent submits that the petitioner has been implicated in a criminal case in Cr.No.783 of 2016 on the file of the Kenikkarai Police Station, Ramanathapuram. According to him, so far investigation has not been completed and charge sheet has not been laid.
