This Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents 3 and 4 to register the petitioner's land bearing S.No.363/1B measuring 4.2.50 Ares situated at Ulaiyur Group, Mudukulathur Taluk, Ramanathapuram District under Crop Insurance Scheme and to issue certificate to that effect within a time limit fixed by this Court.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the subject land originally belongs to her father-in-law. On 24.01.2024, the petitioner's father-in-law executed a settlement deed in favour of the petitioner's husband and patta was also issued in the name of the petitioner's husband. Since the petitioner's husband is in Singapore, the petitioner is cultivating the land. The petitioner submitted a representation on 11.11.2025 seeking to register the subject land under crop insurance scheme. However, the same was not considered till date. Hence, the petitioner is approached this Court.

3. Mrs.S.Devasena, the learned counsel would submit that

the petitioner's husband, depriving the rights of the other family members, has obtained patta. Therefore, if any order is passed, the petitioner would take undue advantage of the said order and the rights of the other family members would be deprived, if they are approaching the civil Court to challenge the issuance of patta as well as to establish their rights.

the respondents would submit that the last date for applying crop insurance scheme is 01.12.2025 and therefore, no order is required in this Writ Petition.

5 . Admittedly, the petitioner seeks for issuance of a certificate to apply crop insurance scheme. This Court is of the view that if any order is passed in favour of the petitioner, that will not confer any absolute right in the property under crop insurance to the petitioner or it will not deprive the rights of the other family members claiming right over the said properties. Such being the case, this Court directs the 4^th respondent to issue a certificate by registering the petitioner's land under

Crop Insurance Scheme, within a period of one week from today, so as to enable the petitioner to apply for crop insurance scheme. In the event, if the same is presented before the third respondent, the third respondent is directed to forward the same to the concerned authority. Though the time for applying crop insurance scheme is expired on 01.12.2025, since the Writ Petition is filed much prior to the said date, this Court directs the respondents as well as the Insurance Company to accept the petitioner's application, even if it is filed after the due date, but on or before 30.12.2025.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
