This writ petition has been filed for a mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents to grant special grade with effect from 21.10.2013, by revising the selection grade as Rs.4,800-10,000+1,650 and to compute the further increments and Special Grade Pay in proportion to the revised pay scale in accordance with law.

2. The petitioner had earlier given a representation on 16.03.2021 to the first respondent seeking for the aforementioned relief. Since the same has not been considered, he has filed this writ petition.

3. A counter affidavit has been filed by the respondents 3 & 4. The respondents 1 & 2 are yet to file counter affidavit.

4. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if a direction is issued to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

Since the earlier representation was only given to the first respondent, the petitioner is directed to give a fresh representation to the second respondent seeking for the grant of special grade with effect from 21.10.2013, by revising the selection grade as Rs.4,800-10,000+1,650 and to compute the further increments and Special Grade Pay in proportion to the revised pay scale in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. representation within the stipulated period, the second respondent shall consider the same and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks thereafter.

6. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
