PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner representations dated 14.05.2024 and to order separate patta in favour of the petitioner's name for the RS No.53/18 for the extent of 0.02.0 Ares situated at Thivalansuli Village, Kumbakonam Taluk, Thanjavur District and RS No.50/37 for the extent of 0.1.50 Ares out of 0.03.0 Ares situated at Thivalansuli Village, Kumbakonam Taluk, Thanjavur District, within stipulated time may be framed by this Court.

After submitting the representation dated 14.05.2024 seeking separate

patta in the petitioner's name, the present writ petition has been filed.

2.Learned counsel for the petitioner relies upon patta No.1435 in the name of Arunachala Mudhaliar and states that the said Pattadhar is the petitioner's father. He also relies upon the settlement deed in favour of the petitioner.

3.Learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of both the respondents. He submits that it is necessary for the petitioner to submit an online application seeking a separate patta and that the representation would not suffice.

4.Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of by permitting the petitioner to submit an application for issuance of separate patta in relation to

the property mentioned in the writ petition. Within twelve weeks from the date of receipt of such online application, the respondents are directed to consider and dispose of the same on merits after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner. No costs.
