PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to issue Patta in the name of the Petitioner for the Land situated at A.Kosakulam Village, Madurai North Taluk, Madurai District, bearing Anaiyur Bit-I S.No.80/1 to en extent of Land Measuring 0.36.0 Ares based on the representation made by the on petitioner dated 11.07.2025.

After submitting the representation dated 11.07.2025 for grant of patta in

relation to the land described in the writ petition, the present petition has been filed.

2.Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner has been in continuous possession and enjoyment of the land for a considerable period of time. He relies upon the Adangal extract showing that the petitioner has been cultivating the said land.

3.Learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of all the respondents. By submitting 'A' Register relating to the land, he submits that it is classified as arasu poromboke Kalamum Vaikalum. Therefore, he states that patta cannot be issued. Without prejudice, he submits that the petitioner's representation would be considered and disposed on merits.

4.In view of the above submissions, this writ petition stands disposed of

by directing the third respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation on merits within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
