This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of Mandamus,

directing the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the petitioner's transfer application and issue the transfer order to any of the schools in Ramanathapuram District by considering his representation dated 21.07.2025, in accordance with law , within a time frame fixed by this Court.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the parties. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a Secondary Grade Teacher presently serving at Panchayat Union Primary School, Cholavandipuram. On 26.02.2023, he was placed under suspension in connection with a criminal case and subsequently reinstated. Thereafter, the petitioner applied for a District-to-District transfer through the EMIS portal. Upon approval of his application, he opted for a vacant post at Panchayat Union Primary School, Koluvoor, Ramanathapuram District. The grievance of the petitioner is that despite having submitted a representation dated 21.07.2025 to the respondents, seeking issuance of a transfer order to Koluvoor School at Ramanathapuram, no action has been taken on his request. Therefore, the petitioner has been constrained to file the present writ petition.

consider the representation of the petitioner dated 21.07.2025 and pass appropriate orders thereon, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

Considering the above facts and circumstances, without going into the merits of the case, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents 1 and 2, to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 21.07.2025 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law. Such exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is also made clear that this Court has not expressed any of its views with regard to the merits of the matter and that it is open to the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the same on its own merits. No costs.
