The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the second respondent to consider his representation dated 17.02.2025 and pass final orders within a time stipulated by this Court.

2.Heard the arguments of Mr.P.T.Ramesh Raja, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.K.Malathi, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3.According to the petitioner, the property situated in Old Survey No.10/37, New Survey No.43/1, Aruvikarai Village, Thiruvattar Taluk, is the ancestral property of his father, Thankappan, S/o.Adhithyan Nadar. The petitioner's father raised a building in the said property and the family members have been living thereon all along. Recently, the petitioner acquired knowledge that the subject property has been wrongly classified as land belongs to the Public Works Department in the revenue

records. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation on 17.02.2025 before the respondents seeking rectification of revenue records and issuance of separate patta in his name. The same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.

4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that as on today, the property is classified as Public Works Department's land in the revenue records and the registered documents produced by the petitioner could not be correlated with the new survey number.

5.As per the written instructions submitted by the second

respondent to the learned Additional Government Pleader, dated 22.07.2025 in Na.Ga.Aa2/2067/2025, the petitioner has submitted a registered document of the year 1959 in support of his claim. The respondent cannot refuse to consider the said document on the ground that correlation register has not been produced by the petitioner. The correlation register must be available with the Revenue Department. Therefore, It is for the second respondent to consider the request of the

petitioner in the light of the document submitted by him.

6.In view of the same, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 17.02.2025, in the light of the documents submitted by him and the correlation register maintained by the Revenue Department and pass final orders on its own merits, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
