This Writ Petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner to provide employment for one member from his family under priority category in Integrated Drinking Water Project, Kattathurai, based on the petitioner's representation dated 08.04.2019, in the light of the proceedings of the fourth respondent dated 25.04.2019.

2. Counter affidavit has been filed in this Writ Petitions by the respondents. However, admittedly, the representation of the petitioner dated 08.04.2019 referred to supra has not been considered by the respondents by passing orders on the said representation. No prejudice will be caused to the respondents if the third respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

3. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of

the petitioner's representation. It is for the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation on merits. The petitioner claims that based on the resolution passed by the Panchayat [7th respondent], the petitioner is entitled for employment on account of gift of the land in favour of the seventh respondent for the benefit of TWAD Board.

4. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the third respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation dated 08.04.2019, as stated supra, within a period of eight [8] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the aforesaid direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
