respondents to forthwith frame guidelines/instructions in respect of Arulmigu Veereshwaraswamy Temple, Amarakunthi Village, Omalur Taluk, Salem District regarding title of the deity as “Arulmigu Veereshwaraswamy” and performance of festivals, vizha, etc along with day-to-day rituals of temple like poojas, archanais, abhishekams and sacred rituals according to established customs and traditions of Arulmigu Veereshwaraswamy on the basis of the Orders referred in petitioners representation dated 25.08.2025.

Mr.J.Ravichandran, learned Additional Government Pleader takes

notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3. As no adverse order is being passed against the 4^th respondent, notice to the 4^th respondent is dispensed with.

Apprehending that people belonging to Paleylaru Vangusthar Community would perform the 60 Koodi Kumbidum vizha inside the Arulmigu Veereshwaraswamy Temple, as the 4^th respondent in his permission letter dated 05.08.2025 had not specified the place as to where the said vizha has to be performed, the petitioner being a devotee had addressed a representation dated 25.08.2025 to the 2^nd respondent objecting the usage of name of deity as well as their attempt to perform the vizha inside the temple. However, till date no orders have been passed on the same. Aggrieved by which, the petitioner has come up with the present Writ Petition.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation and pass appropriate orders on merits within a reasonable time that may be stipulated by this Court.

On the above contention, this Court heard the learned Additional

Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 to 3 and perused the materials available on record.

In view of the aforesaid submissions, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the issue, directs the 2^nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.08.2025 and pass appropriate orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested parties.
