The Writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents

to implement the rules of promotion applicable to the members of the

petitioner union in the erstwhile AIR India Ltd., and as adopted by the respondents immediately without any delay.

The case of the petitioner is that the members of the petitioner union

¶28

joined the services of erstwhile AIR India as Aircraft Equipment Operators and were promoted as Sr.AEO in the year 2006 & 2007. The petitioner Union

made various representations to the respondents for promotion to the members as AEO with effect from 2010-11 and further promotion as Chief AEO in the eyar 2014 to 15 and the same is not considered till date. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation to implement the rules of promotion applicable to the members of the petitioner's union in the erstwhile Air India Ltd., within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

The learned counsel for the respondents submitted that this Court

may direct the petitioner to make a fresh representation to the respondents.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the

respondents and perused the materials available on record.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited request sought for by the petitioner, this Court directs the

petitioner to make a fresh representation to the respondents along with all the necessary documents and also a copy of this order within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Upon receipt of the same, the concerned respondent shall consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation within a period of six weeks thereafter.
