ORDER
This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner challenging the impugned order passed by the 3rd respondent in Ka.No./U.Me.Po/E and Ka/Re/Ra/Puram/Ko.No./Aa.No.121/2025 dated 09.07.2025 and to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to provide fresh electricity service connection for the petitioner premises at Door No.135, 6th Street, 2nd Floor, Kamaraj colony, Kodambakkam, Chennai-600 024, by considering the application dated 18.06.2025.
2.It is the contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has sought for fresh electricity service connection for her premises at Door No.135, 6th Street, 2nd Floor, Kamaraj colony, Kodambakkam, Chennai-600 024, to run the prayer hall in the name of “Nesarin Saththam Revival Church”. However, the application of the petitioner got rejected on 09.07.2025, by the 3rd respondent on the ground that there is no registered ownership document for the prayer hall premises. The further contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that the petitioner’s husband is one of the lawful share holder of the property where the prayer hall is located. Hence, he prayed to quash the rejection order dated 09.07.2025 passed by the 3rd respondent with a direction to provide fresh electricity connection.

3.Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that if the petitioner make a fresh application and produces indemnity bond, the electricity service connection will be provided on payment of necessary fees.
4.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner; the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 and the learned counsel for the respondents 4 to 6.
5.Considering the submissions made by either parties, this Court directs the petitioner to make fresh application along with the indemnity bond. On execution of such indemnity bond and payment of necessary charges, the 3rd respondent is directed to provide fresh electricity service connection to the petitioner’s premises within a period of two weeks.
6.With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
