ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus directing

¶28

the 1st and 2nd respondents to act upon the representation made by the

¶29

petitioner wherein, the petitioner is seeking for removal of encroachment that is said to have been made by the 5th and 6th respondents in the property

¶30

belonging to Arulmigu Subramania Swami Thirukovil.

2.Heard Mr.V.R.Vishnu, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the

petitioner, Mr.E.Vijayanand, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the 1st respondent, Mr.N.R.R.Arun Natarajan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of respondents 2 and 3 and Mr.L.Jai

Venkatesh, learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the 4th respondent.

4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and

the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the 3rd

respondent to act upon the representation made by the petitioner and ascertain

as to whether any encroachment has been made in the temple land of Arulmigu

¶40

Subramania Swami Thirukovil. In such an event, action shall be initiated and the encroachment shall be removed in accordance with law after affording an opportunity to all the interested parties. This process shall be completed, within

a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5.This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No Costs.

Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
