Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (P) appearing for the Respondents would submit that pending the Writ Petition, Award was passed on 21.07.2025, with respect to the re-determination of compensation under Section 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (in short 'the Act'). He has also produced the proceedings of the 2 nd respondent to that effect.

3. Since, Award was already passed with respect to the redetermination of compensation under Section 28-A of the Act, the relief sought for in this Writ petition has become infructuous. Hence, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. However, it is made clear that if the petitioner is aggrieved by the aforesaid Award, it is open to him to challenge the same in the manner known to law. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscelleneous Petition is closed.
